A grim weather forecast has forced organizers to delay Town Day until Sept 14.

“We just can’t catch a break, can we?” said Deran Muckjian, president of the Belmont Center Business Association, which organizes Town Day.

This is the third year the spring event has been moved to late summer because of the weather.

On Friday morning, Muckjian and others were working on moving the date from May to September.

The National Weather Service is calling for rain showers and possible thunderstorms on Saturday.
