Two Injured in Collision With Train

Two people were taken to the hospital after their car was hit by an MBTA commuter train at Hill Crossing on Brighton Street.

According to the MBTA Transit Police, the driver of a 2014 Toyota Sienna got stuck on the tracks around 4 a.m. at the height of the snowstorm.

The car was hit, and both the driver and the passenger had to be extricated from the damaged vehicle. They were taken to a nearby hospital with what police are describing as serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
