Vote For Ganguly

I’ve spent more than 15 years working in elder care in our community, and I’m proud to support my friend Nomita Ganguly for state representative, serving North Cambridge, Belmont, and part of Arlington.

I’ve known Nomita for 19 years — we met on PTO committees when our kids were in elementary school, and stayed side by side through high school. In all that time, she has been a joy to work with: warm, devoted, and endlessly reliable. She was a true public servant long before she ever thought about running for office.

In my work, I see every day how much older adults depend on having a real advocate at the State House. Nomita has spent decades as a public interest lobbyist for nonprofits serving senior citizens — not corporations, but the organizations and senior centers our neighbors count on. She understands what older adults are actually up against, from navigating benefits to finding affordable care. This isn’t abstract to her. It’s work she has shown up for, year after year, with her whole heart.

Nomita is also an attorney who began her career as a State House aide, so she knows how legislation really gets made. She’s a devoted public school parent who served as co-president of the Foundation for Belmont Education. And as the child of immigrants, she carries that lived experience into her deep commitment to protecting our immigrant neighbors.

Nomita is tenacious, hardworking, and someone who truly listens. Our community deserves someone at the State House who understands these issues from the ground up, because she’s lived them.

I can’t imagine a better fighter for us.

If you’re a Democrat, please vote for Nomita Ganguly in the primary on Sept. 1. Learn more at nomitaganguly4rep.com.
