Our new library does not have enough parking for its employees and regular patrons on most days, so you can imagine what it was like yesterday with rain and voting. There were lots of voting-only placards in the lot & along Concord Ave in front of the library. I was tempted to return home but knew I wouldn’t go out again to vote.
How many other Precinct 1 voters did not come in because of parking and weather?
Belmont needs to consider another place for Precinct 1 residents to vote or perhaps combine Precinct 1 with a less active precinct.
In another subject, will there be a crosswalk crossing Concord Ave to the library by the November general election? Daylight Saving Time ends Nov. 1, and it will be dark around 4:30 p.m.
