I am proud to support Nomita Ganguly as the Democratic candidate to represent our district in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
Massachusetts is a strongly Democratic state, and that’s precisely why healthy competition within the Democratic Party matters. When re-election becomes almost automatic, it’s easy for complacency to set in. Democracy is strongest when ideas are debated, leaders are challenged, and voters have meaningful choices. A competitive primary strengthens both the party and our Representation.
I’m supporting Nomita because she brings the experience and commitment our district needs.
After spending more than 20 years advocating at the State House on behalf of nonprofit organizations serving older adults, she understands how the Legislature works and how to navigate it effectively. She won’t need to learn the system from scratch. She will be ready to get to work on day one, building relationships and helping move important legislation forward.
Massachusetts faces significant challenges, from making health care more affordable to improving elder care, expanding access to housing, and strengthening social services. Nomita is deeply committed to addressing these issues while also championing the causes she has long cared about, including strong public education and opportunities for all members of our community.
Running for office takes courage, especially when challenging an incumbent. I applaud Nomita for stepping forward to serve, and I am excited about the experience, and fresh perspective she would bring to the Massachusetts House.
