I have known Sen. Will Brownsberger since I first moved to Belmont 26 years ago, and the qualities he shows now are the same ones that impressed me early on. Will is a determined, energized leader who has earned my strong support through a combination of exceptional work ethic, thoughtful leadership, and a proven record of delivering results. He has consistently proven himself to be one of the most accessible and hardworking public servants in Massachusetts. Residents know that when they reach out to Will, they receive a timely, thoughtful response and honest engagement, regardless of whether they agree with him on every issue.
His legislative accomplishments are equally impressive. Will has been a leading voice on criminal justice reform, helping advance policies designed to create a fairer, more effective justice system while maintaining public safety. Beyond criminal justice, Will has played an important role in advancing legislation on transportation, environmental stewardship, affordable housing, public health, and government transparency. He consistently demonstrates a willingness to engage with complex issues in a careful, data-driven manner rather than seeking easy political headlines.
Will’s combination of integrity, accessibility, and effectiveness is rare in public life. He listens carefully, explains his reasoning clearly, and is willing to change his views when the facts warrant it. We are better off because of his service.
