Brownsberger’s Personal Touch Makes a Difference to Voter

I am endorsing the reelection of Will Brownsberger because I have had firsthand experience of his service to the people in his district.  I did not know him personally when he helped us overcome a problem with the Department of Conservation (DCR).

Our backyard abuts conservation land that has been neglected, with overgrown and fallen trees that remain on the ground.  Three years ago, a storm caused several trees to crack and branches to fall, posing a real danger to our property from decaying trees falling on our home.

After repeated calls, DCR agreed to cut down the decayed trees, but the result was unsightly because they left all the huge tree trunks stacked up abutting our backyard.  Besides the eyesore so close to our back porch, the decaying wood could promote colonies of insects and carpenter ants so close to our property.

I tried to get DCR to clean up their mess, but they refused.  My wife mentioned the problem to Sen. Brownsberger.  Soon after, he came to our home to inspect the problem personally.  He took pictures of the area, then contacted DCR and said they cannot treat a residential area as if it were total wilderness.  He pursued the problem to make sure that DCR would at least permit us to clean up the mess.  This eventually happened, and our backyard is once again safe and pleasant due to the efforts of Sen. Brownsberger.

Because of the above, and because I respect the moral standings he has shown in public office and his overall service to his constituency, I am fully endorsing the reelection of Will Brownsberger for state senate.
