As the Sept. 1 primary approaches, I am proud to voice my enthusiastic support for Nomita Ganguly for state representative in the 24th Middlesex District.
Having volunteered directly alongside Nomita in our public schools—including our work together as Chenery PTO co-presidents and through the Foundation for Belmont Education (FBE) also as co-presidents—I have witnessed her remarkable work ethic and unwavering commitment to students, families, and educators.
What truly sets Nomita apart is her exceptional listening ability and her genuine capacity to make everyone feel valued. Volunteering side-by-side with her, I have repeatedly seen her patience, her willingness to hear diverse perspectives, and her steadfast, active interest in true inclusion. She doesn’t just show up; she listens intently and brings people together to build consensus.
Beyond her extensive grassroots involvement, Nomita brings invaluable professional readiness to the table. As an experienced lawyer, former legislative staffer, and dedicated advocate for older adults, she already possesses a deep, working knowledge of how to navigate complex state budgets and successfully shepherd key legislation. She will not face a learning curve on day one.
That is why I am gladly giving my time to support her campaign, and why I hope you will vote for Nomita on Tuesday, September 1st.
