I am voting for Nomita Ganguly for state representative of our district in the upcoming state primary because I believe Nomita will provide the change our community needs.
Nomita has been a dedicated member of our community for 25 years. While her daughters were students, Nomita was very active in our schools. She was on the board of the Wellington School’s PTO, president of the Chenery PTO, and co-president of the Foundation for Belmont Education. Nomita volunteered not only for her daughters’ benefit; her efforts supported all students.
In parallel, Nomita has been working as a legislative advocate for over 20 years. Her work helps older adult and disability nonprofit organizations navigate the legislative process. Nomita has benefited many by helping her clients pass legislation and gain funding.
I first met Nomita in the bleachers at BHS cheering for our daughters as they played rugby. I was immediately struck by her passion. Nomita goes above and beyond for her family, her community, and her clients. While some may see a kind and quiet woman, you should also know that Nomita’s drive and tenacity have resulted in an impressive track record at the State House. Nomita knows exactly what to do to get bills passed and funding allocated and she does everything in her power to meet her clients’ needs.
I think our district needs change. It’s time we have a full-time State Representative from Belmont to listen, take action, and be transparent about what is happening at the State House. Nomita loves our community and loves her career. If she can apply that passion and drive that has so benefited her clients to the needs of our district, I can only imagine what Nomita can achieve as our next state representative!
