As a former School Committee member, current Town Meeting member, and community volunteer who cares deeply about Belmont, I am writing to express my strong confidence that Adam Dash will be an excellent town moderator. I was so inspired by his track record of leadership and how well his skills fit the role that I did not hesitate to serve as chair of his campaign committee.
In a town like Belmont, the town moderator is not just running Town Meeting—they guide deliberations so they are fair, efficient, and productive. The role requires someone who understands the rules, prepares carefully, thinks strategically, and can manage complex discussions with clarity, fairness, and respect for every participant.
Adam brings exactly the skills this role demands. He has a deep understanding of meeting procedure and municipal law, along with a strong track record of effective local leadership. He approaches every meeting and issue with care and thorough preparation. Town Meeting can be complicated and sometimes unpredictable, and the moderator must think quickly, apply rules consistently, and keep discussion moving while ensuring all voices are heard. Adam has the judgment, presence, and steady leadership to do just that.
Adam also has a genuine commitment to listening to residents and engaging with the community. He regularly attends local meetings, talks with neighbors, and encourages more people to get involved in making Belmont stronger. Adam is someone who doesn’t just talk about ideas, he follows through and gets things done.
When Town Meeting works well, Belmont works well. Adam has the skills, preparation, and temperament to guide Town Meeting and help our community make thoughtful, fair, and inclusive decisions.
I’m proud to support Adam Dash and hope you’ll join me in voting for him for Town Moderator on April 7.
