I am writing this letter to you as a show of my support for Paul Joy and his campaign for the Belmont Select Board. It is my firm belief that Paul is the best candidate for the open position on the Select Board.
I am a lifelong resident of Belmont, currently serving as a board member for Belmont Youth Hockey, coaching numerous hockey teams and lacrosse teams in town, and have served as a member of the Board of Assessors, MBTA Advisory Committee, and Town Meeting in the past.
I had the privilege and honor to serve on the MBTA Advisory Committee with Paul and was able to admire his ability to analyze very complex thoughts and ideas and work with others to achieve goals that would be best suited for the Town of Belmont. Since that time, I have followed Paul closely with his work on the Economic Development Committee. It is through my experiences with him on these Committees and seeing the devotion he has for his family and for Belmont, that I am fully supportive of Paul for the Select Board.
His expertise in understanding the economic challenges facing Belmont and his ability to negotiate with others is what makes him stand out from others who are seeking election to the Select Board. I wholeheartedly believe that Paul always has the best interest for the Town and its residents in mind and I encourage anyone and everyone to get to know him more prior to the election. I am sure you will find that his understanding of what the Town needs and his ideas on how to achieve those goals are matched.
