We strongly support Taylor Yates for Select Board. His experience as chair of the Planning Board and Vision 21 Implementation Committee have given him a unique perspective on our town’s planning process.
His hard work on the Planning Board resulted in allowing restaurants by right, and we are excited that he is pushing to ease the burden on small businesses by rezoning Belmont Center and Brighton Street Commercial District, streamlining the process to open more businesses to allow for more commercial real estate.
As a father of three small children, Taylor is committed to educational excellence; supports strategic housing density near our retail districts; and a community path that will connect our neighbors and encourage pedestrians to visit our centers.
Belmont will be making critical decisions on finances, education, and zoning and we need Taylor’s leadership, expertise, and thoughtfulness to help us thrive.
