Marauders of the Week for Oct. 11

The Marauder of the Week program at Belmont High School recognizes members of the senior class for contributions they have made to the school and community. The information is provided by Belmont High School.

Emily Caputo

1. Favorite school subject:

Science and Math

2. Most influential classes/teachers

Mr. Lefebrve, Mr. DeLorio, Ms. Pleat, Ms. White

3. Extracurriculars that have been meaningful to you.

Set Crew, Cross Country and Frisbee

4. What are you most proud of doing or being part of at BHS or in the community?

Creating set pieces for all of the school productions and helping to start the sustainability club at BHS.

5. What are you passionate about?

The outdoors! Both spending time in nature and working to protect the environment for years to come.

6. What words of wisdom would you like to leave for other BHS students?

Don’t be afraid to try new things and make new friends! Find something you truly love and stick with it.

Douglas Dambo

1. Favorite school subject:

My favorite school subject is acting

2. Most influential classes/teachers

My most influential classes were my world history class with Dr. Shea, LC with Mr. Sullivan and acting with Mr. Flam.

3. Extracurriculars that have been meaningful to you

The most meaningful extracurriculars for me are soccer and wrestling because of the joy they bring to my life.

4. What are you most proud of doing or being part of at BHS or in the community?

I’m really proud to be part of the best boys soccer team BHS has ever seen, and the connection we have is more than just teammates – we treat each other like brothers and push each other to be the best versions of ourselves that we know we can be. I’m also excited for the wrestling team and rugby team.

5. What are you passionate about?

I’m really passionate about traveling and seeing new places.

6. What words of wisdom would you like to leave for other BHS students?

“Things turn out best for people who make the best out of the way things turn out.”

Parker Brookins

Biology

Ms. Vultaggio English & Mr. Jonson Physics

3. Extracurriculars that have been meaningful to you:

Climate Action Club, Marching Band, Sr. MYWE

4. What are you most proud of doing or being part of, either at BHS or in the community?

I am most proud of being one of two drum majors in the marching band, go Marauders!

5. What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about all things music, biology, and space.

6. What words of wisdom would you like to leave for other BHS students?

Don’t take everything too seriously, it’s just high school. Also, do your homework!!
