I am proud to endorse Will Brownsberger for reelection to the state senate. I have known Will since 1998, when Belmont first elected him to the Board of Selectmen. Throughout nearly three decades, I have witnessed the immense seriousness he brings to public service. From his time as selectman to his service as state representative and now as our senator, Will has always put Belmont and all his constituents at the forefront of his work.
Will is a person of deep integrity and focus, whether he is addressing an individual constituent’s concern or tackling complex public policy. In an era of political turmoil, Massachusetts needs his steadfast leadership, honesty, and experience.
As an independent, progressive Democrat, Will is committed for the long haul to building a future we can all believe in. His legislative record speaks volumes. He played a leading role in the state’s landmark criminal justice reforms of 2018 and police reforms of 2020, and he successfully chaired the Senate’s redistricting process in 2021. More recently, Will has been a driving force behind building decarbonization and expanding housing construction, culminating in 2024 when he led the Senate’s team to negotiate major state housing legislation.
We need Will’s intelligence, experience, and focus to help guide our state forward. I urge all voters in the Suffolk and Middlesex District to cast their vote for Will Brownsberger in the primary this September.
