I have known Will Brownsberger since volunteering to co-manage his first campaign, for Selectman in Belmont, almost 30 years ago. I’ve continued to support his campaigns ever since because he is a responsive, smart, and very effective public servant. He is committed to working hard for the public good, increasing transparency, and making government work better for all. As a constituent, I have been an advocate for criminal justice reform, immigrant rights, and improving public transportation. In all of these areas, among many others, he is extremely knowledgeable and has succeeded in getting significant legislation passed to make real differences in people’s lives. To name just a few of his accomplishments, we have Will to thank for fast bus lanes on the #73 line, keeping Belmont’s Community Path moving forward, leadership in getting the PROTECT Act passed and providing civil rights protections for immigrants, and leading the way in significantly reducing the number of people in prisons. Will values equally every one of his constituents, always responding promptly and sympathetically to their concerns. And, as a leader in the Senate, he thoughtfully confers with and persuades legislators from all parts of the State to join together to achieve progress for all.
I am voting for Will in the primary election on Sept. 1 and I encourage everyone to do the same!
