Some people talk about getting things done. Nomita Ganguly does it. I’ve watched her leadership in the Belmont school community for years, from classroom parent to PTO president to the Foundation for Belmont Education leader. It’s rarely glamorous work, but Nomita didn’t just show up for it — she rolled up her sleeves and worked tirelessly for Belmont’s students and teachers. She navigated strong personalities and competing priorities with real skill: listening closely, taking people seriously, and building consensus without leaving anyone feeling unheard. That’s a rarer talent than it sounds — exactly what’s needed in a state representative.
Nomita’s community leadership is paired with real professional expertise. Her legal training gives her a sharp eye for the details of legislation. She has spent two decades as a legislative advocate for organizations serving older adults and people with disabilities, work that has taken her deep into the state budget process and delivered real results. That advocacy has shaped how she thinks about municipal finance — and she’s committed to pushing the state to increase local aid, so Belmont isn’t left covering rising costs for schools, senior services, and sidewalks. Belmont needs Nomita’s advocacy in the State House.
With so many state programs under pressure and the budget stretched thin, Belmont needs a representative who will fight hard and won’t settle for the status quo. Nomita cares deeply about our district and knows how to advocate in a way that will deliver real results.
