Field Hockey — The fourth-ranked Marauders posted some impressive results in recent games, continuing their undefeated streak with wins against Woburn and Reading. Against Woburn, on Sept. 22, the offense led the way to a one-sided 8-1 victory. Junior Kendall Regan contributed three goals, with senior captain Elsie Lakin-Schultz scoring one of her own and providing two assists. They also defeated a strong Reading team, 3-1, on Sept. 24, with goals from Lakin-Schultz, senior Nora Dolan, and sophomore Amelia Long. Belmont next faced the formidable No. 1-ranked Walpole team on Sept. 25, and battled them to a tie, bringing their season record to 7-0-1. They look to maintain their undefeated streak against Wilmington on Sept. 28.

Girls Soccer – The Marauders remained unbeaten this week, beating Wakefield 3-1 on Sept. 23. Junior captain Catherine Greiner scored and sophomores Clara Sciandra and Mae Perry each contributed goals. The opponent was held to a single goal, with senior goalie Martha Dimas controlling the net. The win brought the team’s record to 4-0. Belmont looks to continue its streak against Burlington on Sept. 29.

Girls Swim and Dive – Belmont crushed Woburn on Sept. 23, led by impressive performances from senior captains Sophia Bufano, Sona Ficiciyan, Karen Tao, and Amalia Linden. The Marauders were so far ahead that official scoring was stopped by the halfway point. Even though their season has just begun, the team is already looking ahead to the postseason with many athletes having already qualified for state and/or sectional competitions.

Golf – Belmont was victorious over Lexington in its Sept. 23 match, led by a standout performance from senior Will Jackmin. But the following day, the Marauders’ season-opening win streak was broken, as they fell to Melrose, dropping their record to 8-1. The Marauders were set to face a strong Boston College High School team on Sept. 28, as they look to win their third straight Middlesex League Championship title.

Girls Cross Country – Belmont saw some significant improvements from many runners at their meet against a tough Winchester team at the Red & Black’s home course around Horn Pond. Reece Bundy led the way for the Marauders, closely followed by Daphne Lee and Brynn Franklin. Although Belmont did lose 45-15, the Marauders are hopeful for a strong bounce-back performance on Tuesday, Sept. 29, which is the annual Morgan’s Message Race.

Boys Cross Country – Belmont improved to 2-0 on the season, beating Winchester 20-35 on the road this past Tuesday, Sept. 22. Junior Noah Geiger led the pack again for the Marauders, with sophomore Ishaan Kanagaraj finishing close behind. Junior Will Olmsted and senior Elias Campisano rounded out the top of the field. Belmont will return home to take on a strong Reading squad next Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Girls Volleyball –The Marauders went 3-0 this week, beating Woburn, Somerville, and Boston Latin. Belmont didn’t lose a single set, including a sweep against Woburn, ranked No. 15 in the state entering the week. The Marauders, now 6-2 on the year, hit the road to face Wilmington on Monday, Sept. 28, before returning home to host Wayland on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Football – Belmont fell to 1-2 on the year on Friday, losing 45-8 on the road against Oliver Ames. Running back Patrick MacKinnon scored the lone touchdown for Belmont in the loss. Although they have dropped two straight, the Marauders have seen some substantial improvements from their offense in 2026, using a strong ground attack centered around MacKinnon and fellow running back Damir Neal. Belmont will look to get back on the winning side Friday, Oct. 2, when they travel to Lexington.

Boys Soccer –The Marauders began their week with a 1-1 draw against Wakefield on Wednesday, Sept. 23, with junior Robert Hoerle scoring the goal for Belmont. On Friday, Sept. 25, Belmont cruised to a 3-0 win over Weston, getting two goals from senior Yassin Abdelazim to put the game away. The Marauders return home next Thursday, Oct. 1, to take on Woburn.
