During each election, voters are asked to make difficult decisions. This year, choosing Will Brownsberger for State Senate is an easy one.
I have known Will for 25 years, canvassed with him door-to-door, and have been consistently impressed by his integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to improving peoples’
lives. During a challenging political time, he reminds me why public service matters and how
fortunate we are to have a senator who believes that government exists to serve the people.
Will has faithfully served the people of Belmont on the Select Board, 1998 to 2007, as state
representative, 2007 to 2012, and as state senator since 2012. His commitment to public
service is matched by his integrity, accessibility, and effectiveness. He is a smart, knowledgeable, and hardworking legislator who genuinely enjoys representing his constituents
as a leader in Massachusetts.
Whenever constituents reach out for assistance, I am impressed by how quickly he responds
and by the positive results that he and his staff achieve on their behalf.
Some of Will’s many accomplishments are:
- Led the initiative to strengthen civil rights through the PROTECT Act.
- Pioneer advancing decarbonization and implementing the Global Warming Solutions Act.
- Helped lead the Senate redistricting process guided by the Voting Rights Act.
- Protects the MassHealth program.
- Supports Belmont’s Community Path and other important local priorities.
As the Senate’s third-ranking Democrat, Will has the experience, influence, and leadership to
advance the commonwealth’s priorities while effectively representing the Suffolk and Middlesex
District. This is not the time to replace proven leadership with a rookie senator who appears to
be advancing someone else’s agenda. We need an independent senator with a demonstrated
record of accomplishments to champion our District’s interests and the commonwealth’s.
On Sept. 1, please join me in voting for Will Brownsberger for State Senate!
