Why are so many roads in Belmont so awful?
Recent examples of roads so pocked with deep potholes that they are nearly completely undriveable include sections of Lexington Street leading to Waverly Square; also Oak Avenue and Pine Street; and Brighton Street at and near Cross Street.
The winter was tough but some of these roads have been falling apart for years. When will these roads be resurfaced and paved? Are we waiting for people to lose tires and suspension systems?
