Lander Is the Workers Candidate

State Senate candidate Daniel Lander proudly supports the right of workers to organize and to form unions to secure better working conditions and fair salaries. Daniel recently joined the picket line for the Brigham Hospital nurses, and he is committed to standing shoulder to shoulder with organized labor to make sure that working people can build a good life in Massachusetts.

In contrast, Will Brownsberger, who seriously hurt teachers, firefighters and other municipal employees by championing a law that enabled cities and towns to shift significant health care

costs onto them outside of the traditional bargaining process, recently stated at a candidate forum that he doesn’t think that he should get on a picket line or jump in the middle of collective bargaining fights.

The contrast could not be clearer, and the differences explain why Daniel has earned the endorsements of Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, the  Working Families Party, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2222, the Massachusetts Teachers Association, and Progressive Victory. Warren states, “I know firsthand that Daniel is a fighter who is ready to make change for the people of Massachusetts. He’s an organizer, a problem solver, and has an impressive track record of public service. I have no doubt that Daniel will hit the ground running to lower housing costs, upgrade our infrastructure, and make a real difference for working families.” Mayor Wu proclaims “I’ve been proud to work alongside Daniel to deliver for Boston families, and I know he’ll bring that same results-driven leadership to the State Senate. Daniel never backs down from a fight and he knows how to get things done.”

Please give Daniel Lander the opportunity to get good things done for all of us by supporting him in the Sept. 1 Democratic Primary.
