Marauders Trounce Watertown Raiders in 101st Annual Thanksgiving Football Game

Start

The Marauders got their revenge against Watertown at their annual Thanksgiving Day Game at Victory Field on Thursday, after losing in the rivalry last year during the 100th Turkey Day game at Fenway Park.

Senior Quarterback Jayden Arno led the way to a 47-0 victory for Belmont with four total touchdowns including a 35-yard pass to Senior Receiver Bryce Hubbard on Belmont’s first offensive snap.

Arno also had an astounding 49-yard rushing touchdown to open up the second half of the game, a 50-yard TD to Senior Receiver Brian Logan and scrambled for a two-point conversion.

Senior Running Back Adrien Gurung also had a strong impact on the game with two long rushing touchdowns.

The Thanksgiving Game ends the Marauders’ (6-4) season on a high note. The team failed to advance in the MIAA playoffs, but placed first in the Middlesex League for the first time since 1964, with a 4-1 record in league play.
