We here in Belmont are fortunate to be represented on Beacon Hill by the knowledgeable, energetic, and hardworking Dave Rogers.
From civil rights to the environment, from women’s rights to education, Dave has been a consistently progressive voice, a leading advocate in the fight for tuition-free community college, fairness for pregnant workers, and access to counsel for tenants. He has secured millions of dollars in state funding for projects across the district, including Belmont’s Community Path and the revitalization of Chenery Park. Partnering with the American Civil Liberties Union, Dave filed legislation that imposes a moratorium on the use of facial recognition and biometric technology. He chairs the committee on cannabis policy.
On July 1, he received the Robert L. Terrell Fair Housing Award from the Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association for his work helping to establish the Office of Fair Housing and secure $1 million for the Fair Housing Trust.
Dave shows up wherever he can be helpful and constantly seeks input on the important issues facing our state. He canvassed for the high school project, helped rebuild Joey’s Park, and has volunteered for the Belmont Food Pantry and Belmont Serves.
He has put his law degree from American University to excellent use on behalf of his constituents in Belmont, Arlington, and Cambridge, and is extraordinarily responsive to constituent requests.
