Superintendent Assessment
The school committee released its “Superintendent Evaluation Composite Summative Report,” which evaluated Superintendent Jill Geiser’s performance over the 2025-2026 school year. According to the report, members rated her performance as “proficient.”
According to the report, committee members pointed to Geiser’s strategic planning, efforts at making community connections, and student-centered decision making. They also highlighted areas for growth, including measuring the impact of district initiatives and continuing to improve achievement and a sense of belonging for diverse learners.
“My work can only happen with the team,” Geiser said, referring to the school committee. “…all of that is a reflection of how we all work together to move the district forward.”
New District Position
Belmont schools are looking to hire a multiple pathways coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. The role, listed as a temporary, one-year position, is funded through a fiscal year 2026 supplemental budget.
The coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and expanding the district’s multiple pathways initiative, which was spearheaded by Superintendent Jill Geiser. The initiative seeks to create a bridge between academics and real-world applications, which can include internships, mentorships, and dual-enrollment programs. The district hopes to form connections to outside businesses, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and more through the initiative.
