Thirteen years.
In that time, I’ve worked with and consulted Adam Dash on many of the things I care about—school, pool, library, rink, and funding for schools and town.
I’ve sat with him at Town Meeting and valued his comments at the microphone that get right to the point and frame the discussion so clearly.
For 13 years, I’ve known Adam to be knowledgeable and well-spoken. His meetings are fair and do not waste time. He is a municipal law attorney, which greatly benefits the town. He is out in the community more than anyone I know—listening, sharing, and encouraging people to get involved. Also, he cares.
In short, he’s a public servant, and he’s good at it.
These are some of my experiences with Adam over the years:
- When a difficult issue required openness and respect, Adam led a large meeting that made space for our voices to be heard and valued.
- Adam tackled the complicated challenge of deciding what to do with a key parcel of town property with clear communications, breaking it into stages and rubrics that left us feeling good about the process.
- In 2022, he was on the first Select Board to hold hybrid meetings when we were learning how to integrate participants at home and in the room, and he continues to lead large hybrid meetings professionally.
- When it became clear that Select Board leadership rules were unfair, he rewrote them for Board approval.
- He expanded the pool of candidates for committee appointments to reflect diverse backgrounds, skills, and opinions.
Quite simply, Adam will be an outstanding moderator.
I look forward to attending Town Meeting with Adam serving as moderator. Please join me in voting for Adam Dash on April 7.
