Boys Lacrosse: The No. 17 Marauders are closing out their strongest season in program history. Not only are the boys ranked the highest in their history, but they are also closing in on their all-time single-season goal-scoring record, thanks to 40-point seasons from senior captains Eli Akins and Declan Doherty, as well as sophomore Max Valenti. The Marauders are only one place in the standings away from hosting their first home playoff game. They bolstered their chances last week by beating Wilmington, 17-9 on May 12, and Stoneham, 15-8 on May 14.

Girls Lacrosse: No. 15 Belmont has been dominant, finishing its season with a five-game winning streak. The girls most recently beat Wilmington, 17-3, on May 12, Stoneham, 14-8, on May 14, and No. 13 Central Catholic, 13-12, on May 15. Senior captain Niamh Lesnik, who has committed to play at Fairfield next year, has been the driving force behind the campaign, and has had support from both her fellow seniors and juniors Ruth Siegert, Natalie Merrow, and Maddie Tisdale.

Girls Rugby: The top-ranked Marauders faced arguably the strongest test of their season on May 15, as they hosted No. 3 Weymouth, who had previously been undefeated. The Harborwomen, however, were no match for Belmont. The Marauders prevailed 40-21, behind solid performances from juniors LeeLee Kozelian and Rebecca Christensen.

Boys Rugby: With a 34-5 loss to No. 1 BC High, the No. 5 Marauders are all but eliminated from playoff contention. Belmont has been hit hard by injuries this year, losing senior captain Xavier Ceja to a broken wrist, senior Noah Hill and sophomore Sam Bailey to shoulder injuries, and senior Olin Marinell to a torn hamstring. The team suffered several other non-season-ending injuries. While it is still mathematically possible for the Marauders to make the playoffs, it is unlikely, and the boys will likely be looking toward next year during tournament time.

Baseball: The No. 40 Marauders are teetering on the edge of a playoff berth, but it will require them to win one of their two final games. They took a hit this week, losing 2-1 to Stoneham on May 11, and 1-0 to Arlington on May 13. But the Marauders kept their playoff hopes alive with a 3-1 win over Lexington, two days later, on senior night. To make the postseason, the Marauders (9-8) will need to win at least one of their final two games against higher-ranked opponents, Winchester and Reading.

Softball: No. 43 Belmont was officially eliminated from playoff contention. They lost 8-2 to Newton South on May 12, and 15-3 to Arlington on May 13.

Volleyball: The No. 47 Marauders have also been eliminated from the playoffs. They were swept by both No. 14 Arlington and No. 5 Lexington this week.
