Obituary: Catherine A. Sellers

Catherine A. Sellers

Catherine A. “Cathy” Sellers, 70, passed away peacefully on Aug. 23, 2026, following complications related to cerebral palsy and other health complications. Cathy was a lifelong Massachusetts resident, spending much of her early life in Brockton before making her home in Bridgewater approximately 35 years ago.

Born in Belmont, Cathy was the youngest of five children of the late Francis and Catherine Sellers. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Castagno, and her brother, Thomas Sellers.

Family was the center of Cathy’s life. She helped care for her nieces and nephews when they were young and formed especially close, lifelong bonds with them. She was a loving and devoted aunt who gave her family unconditional love, laughter, companionship, and countless memories.

Cathy shared 35 years of love and companionship with her devoted life partner, Kevin Reordan. For the past 19 years, he also lovingly served as her professional personal care provider, dedicating himself to her care and well-being. Their relationship was built on love, loyalty, humor, and an unwavering commitment to one another.

Cathy had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for finding joy in the things she loved. She and Kevin shared a particular fondness for penguins, which became a defining part of their home and their life together. Their home was filled with thousands of penguin treasures—a testament to the happiness they found in their shared obsession and in each other.

Cathy is survived by her devoted life partner, Kevin; her brother, William “Bill” Sellers (wife, Leah Sellers; niece Dawn Kelliher (husband Thomas); nephew William Sellers Jr. (wife Kimberlee). Cathy is also survived by her sister, Karen Gould (partner, William Seeley); nephew Richard Gould (partner Melanie); and niece Julie Fontes (husband Joseph). Cathy is survived by her niece Elaine Hansen (late husband Steven Hansen); nephew Stephen Castagno; niece Jean Sacca (husband Michael), niece Donna Russell, niece Brenda Mikelson (husband David), niece Deborah Sellers, and niece Valerie Sellers.

She will be profoundly missed and forever loved and remembered.
