LEGAL NOTICE – BELMONT MUNICIPAL LIGHT DEPARTMENT
ANNOUNCEMENT OF RATE CHANGE
Effective March 1, 2026, Belmont Light will implement new electric rates for the following: Residential (A), Residential Low Income (LI), Residential Time of Use (TOU A), Commercial (B), Commercial Power (E), Commercial Heating (F), Small Municipal (MB), and Large Municipal (ME). Rates will increase by approximately 6%, reflecting higher electricity transmission costs and adjustments to the conservation charge that funds energy efficiency programs. The new rates are available for review on our website at www.belmontlight.com and at our office located at 40 Prince St, Belmont MA 02478 during normal business hours, Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm.
