The Foundation for Belmont Education (FBE) officially announced the 2026 recipients of the Outstanding Teacher Awards.

The awards recognize the “extraordinary contributions made by teachers in the Belmont Public Schools,” according to the FBE.

Community members and students nominate teachers from across the district, and a subcommittee of the FBE chooses one teacher from each school. The FBE also awards one teacher the S. Warren Farrell Award for Educational Excellence, which was established in 2017 to honor the volunteer work and impact of lifelong Belmont resident S. Warren Farrell.

The award celebrates one educator for their “longstanding dedication and leadership in the Belmont Public Schools and contributions to the community,” according to the FBE.
